an explanation for an absence.

The last few months have been hectic, to say the least.   My hubby just graduated from law school (!!!!!!!) this past weekend.   You might remember a few months back, I mentioned (click here) that this graduation brings quite a few changes for our family- the big one being a move to the Chicago area.

For years, we have joked that we do not do one transition at a time.  When we moved to Champaign, we also both left our jobs, had a new baby, and started an entirely new life.   This time is no different- not only are we preparing for an upcoming move, celebrating a graduation, my hubby begins studying for the bar exam which will take place at the end of July, my oldest will start kindergarten in the fall and my youngest will start preschool, but we are also so excited to take on yet another big change…

Yep, that’s right!  In November we will add a new addition to our family and our girls will become big sisters!   I am completely beyond excited (and slightly terrified at the same time!)   Number 3 is a new ball game- we will be outnumbered.. yikes!   But, with that said, we couldn’t be any happier to be a family of 5 (*7 for those who include the pups).

So, hopefully this news slightly explains the fact that I’ve basically been non-existent for 2 months… I think packing with 2 kids under-toe is enough to put anyone over the edge.  Pretty much anything I put into the “give-away” pile is immediately pulled out.  “But mooooooom, this is my faaaaaavorite toy!” (Ignoring the fact that it hasn’t been looked at in 3 years).   Now add first trimester pregnancy exhaustion to the mix.   Thus, making blogging (and pretty much anything photography related) impossible.  It sure is a good thing I decided to do this project 365 because without it, I am pretty sure I would not have pulled out the camera AT ALL.

I am so excited to share these few pictures that have been missing from project 365.  Enjoy!   And thanks for sticking by me, through my absence and all 🙂
